Hymns - Lyrics & Chords
Updated: October 3, 2026
What the app stores
Albums, songs, lyrics, chords, and PDFs you create stay on your device or in files you choose to export. Hymns does not sync that content to our cloud.
If you choose Google sign-in, Firebase Authentication receives your account identifier, email, and basic details Google provides for authentication. We do not request an extra profile or password.
Premium and purchases
We use Google Play Billing for subscriptions. Our server verifies the purchase identifier with Google Play and stores the status, plan, expiry, and technical data needed to restore or verify Premium with your account. Google Play processes payment; we do not receive your card details.
Authorized staff may view your email, Premium status, and purchase metadata for support, and grant or revoke manual Premium access with an expiry date and reason. Only account and Premium status sync between devices.
Ads and technical services
The free version shows Google AdMob ads, including rewarded ads for PDF export. Depending on your device and consent, Google may process the advertising ID and usage data to deliver, measure, and protect ads. Premium removes in-app ads.
We also use Firebase Remote Config for app settings, Firebase App Check to protect requests, and Firebase Analytics for usage statistics. These services may process technical identifiers, device data, and diagnostics under their own policies.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and Premium data while the account exists. You can delete it through Menu → Account → Delete account and cloud data or request deletion outside the app using these deletion instructions. Your Firebase Authentication identity and linked account and purchase records in our database are deleted. Local or exported files remain where you saved them.
Deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription or erase records Google must retain under its own obligations. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play.
